Ondřej Štochl's composition YIN - Nostalgia and Hope received its world premiere on 9 March at the Museum of Applied Arts of the Moravian Gallery by Brno Contemporary Orchestra. This piece for vibraphone and 12 instruments was on the programme of an evening called "Assimilation - Concert for people" together with music by Alvin Lucier, Michel van der Aa and Jonathan Harvey.

In his piece Štochl looks into the yin force principle as explained by the ancient Chinese philosophy. „The composition is an imprint of a few particular people who play an irreplaceable role in my life. ... I call them 'the Yin angels'. This means the angels of understanding, acceptance, resonance, sharing..." The solo vibraphone part was played by Martin Opršál, to whom Štochl dedicated the piece, too; Brno Contemporary Orchestra was conducted by Pavel Šnajdr.
